Unusual 19th Century Paris Porcelain Figural Scent Bottle Singing Pierrot

An unusual 19th-century Old Paris porcelain scent bottle or flask modelled as a singing Pierrot, a character from the Commedia dell'Arte. In white-glazed porcelain with extensive gilding. 15.3cm (6in) high. Maker’s Marks: Faint incised “Jo” or “Jp” in the centre of the base. Incised or impressed number “28” in one corner. In the opposite corner, another very faint incised or impressed 3-figure number (unreadable). Gilt “24” on the inner side of the base. Condition: Excellent - near mint.
