Description
An unusual Staffordshire pottery pearlware spill vase by John Walton. Formed as a castle turret set on a large grassy mound with a river running underneath through the mound and a small rowing boat floating on the water. Decorated in the round with shredded clay vegetation. The 'Walton' banner mark is to the reverse.

Condition is excellent with no damage or restoration bar a small scrape to the glaze at the start of the banner and a few light losses to the shredded clay.
