Description
Rare Victorian ebonised hardwood and silver whistle walking stick or cane. The silver is hallmarked for London with the date letter for 1897and has the makers mark for Jonathan Howell of Old Street, London. Lovely plain shape and style to the silver top whistle which works well. These whistle canes are often thought of as country canes but were also used in cities for calling cabs. Lovely cane made with an ebonised hard wood shaft which is strong although quite light weight and fine but will give support. The ferrule is a replacement and made of brass. Please contact us with any questions you may have.
