Victorian Brass & Oak Letter Rack, Desktop or Hanging 10"

Late 19th Century Victorian antique pierced brass and oak letter rack is in lovely condition. The brass is pierced and patterned and it has 'Post' engraved on the left and 'Delivery' on the right in front of the two individual boxes. It is a great reminder of very different times when people wrote and received letters, and this piece could have been free-standing or it could be hung on a wall. It dates from the later Victorian era around 1880, and the brass is surrounded by solid oak which has a reeded pattern. All round this is a great piece that could be used in the kitchen, hall, or maybe a desk or side table.
