Victorian Burr Walnut Stretcher Table

A very good quality antique Victorian burr walnut and parcel-ebonised stretcher table dating from circa 1870. The oblong top is beautifully figured with burr walnut veneers and decorated with a gilt and ebonised design along with scratch carved detailing. The top rests on fluted cylindrical supports, having nicely carved swept legs and leafy carved feet joined by a turned cross stretcher and ceramic casters. Beautifully figured with good warm patina it is in good condition. A good quality and highly functional piece which could be used a side or hall table, a sofa table or writing table.
