Victorian Mahogany Washstand

A lovely late Victorian marble topped washstand with slight Aesthetic Movement overtones especially the brass handles. Sat on a platform base with four turned and reeded legs to the front and square sectioned supports to the rear. The platform base has a split to the right hand side but is only really noticeable if you start looking for it. The tiles are very attractive each with a splash of colour, in the form of daisies with foliage. The shaving mirror has a bevelled edge and is set off nicely with carved supports and pediment with two finials. This is an elegant piece that could assume many uses either in the home or business and is good to go.
