Description
Superb Victorian Gentleman's highly impressive bright silver nickel very fancy 'Fetter' link Antique pocket watch chain/Albert with big stamped T bar and large secure dog clip.
Similar to the pocket watch chain I have supplied to 'Peaky Blinders'.
(Please excuse the reflections/dark shadows in the pictures as was extremely difficult to photograph).
Measures; 30.5cm / 12" total length and weighs a very respectable 22.9 grams.
Bright chunky roller links which are interspersed with three highly ornate 'Fetter' links (each measure 1.9cm length x 8mm width x 4mm depth) which are decorated with an attractive open wire work design to top and bottom and little stars (set upon an ornate engine turned 'pie crust' background) around the sides - all have a lovely 'fluid' feel to them and reflect the light beautifully.
Large robust T bar to one end (measures 3.9cm length) which is clearly stamped within oblong shaped recessed cartouches with the makers name; N.C.R. Co (N.C.Reading & Co., Birmingham, England. 1886 - 1920), Albo Reg (fancy name for silver nickel which they registered in 1886) and big secure dog clip to the other end which operates correctly.
Also has a short length of roller link chain just below the T bar with big round link to end - so allowing the wearer to display a fob if desired.
Excellent clean and bright condition with no wear or damage and just a few very tiny overall surface scratches / little bit of patina (all showing under eyeglass only) commensurate with age.
Will arrive in a new presentation box as shown and be very securely and safely packed.
