Description
A good example of an early Victorian sterling silver Christening cup. It stands on a round foot with an elegant scrolling handle and it is beautifully decorated with a swirling floral repousse design around a central cartouche. This is faintly engraved with initials and 'from his Uncle'. It is stylish and good quality and it weighs approximately 126g. It is hallmarked for John Bell & Frederick Brasted, London, 1860. The hallmark is slightly worn but still readable. The best description comes from the photos so please look at them all carefully and if you have any questions just ask.
