In A Nutshell Antiques and Interiors was founded in Devon in 2014. Every piece we sell is carefully selected for its style, quality, originality and condition. We have a large workshop and pride ourselves in the quality of the pieces we sell. We carry out all of our sympathetic restoration 'in house', allowing us to sell quality pieces at affordable prices.
We have a large shop in central Ashburton open Monday - Saturday 10am-5pm, or by appointment.

Description
A good example of an early Victorian sterling silver Christening cup. It stands on a round foot with an elegant scrolling handle and it is beautifully decorated with a swirling floral repousse design around a central cartouche. This is faintly engraved with initials and 'from his Uncle'. It is stylish and good quality and it weighs approximately 126g.
It is hallmarked for John Bell & Frederick Brasted, London, 1860. The hallmark is slightly worn but still readable.

condition
It is in good condition for its age. There are some faint surface marks, some minor dinks and small dents but nothing detrimental and it displays beautifully. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
