Description
This is a lovely antique Victorian silver combination Vesta & Sovereign holder made by Wh Tandy & Sons hallmarked Birmingham 1900. It is of shaped rectangular form, the body is decorated with foliate scrolls. Initialled ‘C.W.S.M’ in one corner (quite worn) with its suspension ring.

Queens Antiques & Collectables has clarified that the Victorian Silver Combination Vesta & Sovereign Case 1900 WH Tandy (LA470678) is genuinely of the period declared with the date/period of manufacture being 1900
condition
In good antique condition, hallmarks are clear. The makers mark has been double struck but is legible. The sovereign part springs open well and clicks shut nicely. The Vesta part opens and shuts well. Some scratching, nibbles and wear to the case all commensurate of age and use.
