Vintage 1.01ct Amethyst & 1.69ct Diamond, Platinum & 14ct Yellow Gold Brooch - Art Deco c.1940

Stunning vintage Art Deco 1.01 carat amethyst and 1.69 carat diamond, platinum and 14ct yellow gold brooch; part of our diverse vintage jewellery and estate jewelry collections. This stunning, fine and impressive vintage amethyst brooch has been crafted in platinum and 14ct yellow gold. The Art Deco multi-stranded spray design is ornamented to the centre with a stunning feature claw set 1.01ct round faceted cut amethyst. The upper portion of the amethyst is embellished with an arched array of six Old European cut diamonds. The upper portion of the platinum multi-stranded design is embellished with a further forty-two pavé set diamonds, in a combination of Old European and eight-cut. The design is further ornamented with alternating plain yellow gold strands. The lower portion of the design is embellished with diminished strands, reflecting the aforementioned arrangement and incorporating seventeen further pavé set diamonds. A curvilinear tied ribbon design is embellished with thirteen pavé set diamonds, completing the design. This Art Deco brooch secures to the reverse with a hinged pin and sheaf style fastening. This stunning brooch has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton Xl2 Analyzer) and verified as platinum and 14ct yellow gold.
