Vintage 1.45ct Ruby & Pearl, 10ct Yellow Gold Necklace 1961

Fine and impressive vintage 1960s 1.45 carat ruby and pearl, 10 carat yellow gold necklace; an addition to our diverse collection of vintage necklaces. This fine and impressive vintage necklace has been crafted in 10ct yellow gold. This necklace displays a feature lemniscate shaped motif ornamented to the centre with an impressive pearl. The curvilinear lobed design is further embellished with paralleling bands of individually claw set round faceted cut rubies, totalling 1.45cts. The substantial gold necklace creates a cross over tassel design and composed with a multitude of links composing a ribbed paralleling design with bead style links to the anterior border. The tactile, textured gold necklace secures to the reverse with an integrated push fit clasp, and benefits from the added security of a hinged catch. The necklace is hallmarked to the reverse of the clasp with the maker's mark, the 9ct gold mark (9, .375), the Birmingham Assay Office mark (anchor) and the date letter for 1961 (M); the piece has been more accurately tested with a modern, state of the art piece of technology (Niton Xl2 Analyzer) and verified as 10 carat gold.
