Vintage 1977 Longines 9ct Gold Men’s Watch with Paper 17 Jewels

A vintage 9ct gold Longines men's manual hand wind watch with 17 jewels, with paper booklet (guarantee and certificate of origin) from 1977. With dark brown leather strap, longines stamp on the crown and gold hands. Measurements are as follows:- Case diameter 36mm (inc crown) Lug to lug distance 41mm Lug width 17mm Strap length 180mm Stamped inside the back cover with .375 for 9ct gold, leopards head for London and c for 1977. Also is stamped Ds &S for David Shackman & sons of London who made gold cases for Longines & Baume who were the exclusive importers of Longines watches to the UK. The high quality Calibre 6942 has a 17 jewel manual wind mechanism. Case no. 52019964. In good used condition, scratches to the crystal (glass front) and gold case, wear to the strap, all commensurate of age and use. It is currently working and running well, but is sold without guarantee.
