Vintage 2.51ct Amethyst & Seed Pearl 9ct Yellow Gold Dress Ring 1976

Fine and impressive vintage 2.51 carat natural amethyst and seed pearl dress ring in 9 carat yellow gold; part of our diverse range of vintage jewellery and estate jewelry. This impressive vintage pearl and amethyst ring has been crafted in 9 ct yellow gold. The ring features a central oval mixed cut amethyst six claw set in subtle relief to the centre. The amethyst is surrounded by eighteen, four claw set seed pearls displayed in a fairly low profile, marquise shaped setting. The substantial, flared, groove decorated trifurcating shoulders blend seamlessly with the plain 9 ct yellow gold shank. The interior of the shank is clearly struck with full hallmarks including 9 ct gold standard mark (375), gold guarantee mark (crown), London Assay Office mark (leopard's head) and date letter for 1976 (B).
