Vintage French dresser made in a hard wood, possibly chestnut, in the mid twentieth century. The base has two carved doors and two drawers with aluminium handles, and two black marble side pieces on top. The top has a mirrored back plate and two carved brackets supporting a cupboard with three doors; two of which are carved and the central one glazed in a textured glass.
Condition is quite good; structurally it's pretty solid; the lower doors are slightly warped but they close and stay shut ok; no working lock but we might find one. Escutcheon missing. Drawers a bit gappy at the base fronts. The marble has some minor chips but the white parts are part of them, at least for the last few million years.. Doors one and two have working locks with one key between them; the door on the right has a non working lock but again stays shut. It could do with a knob or we can supply a key just to pull it with. The mirror is quite silvered. There are general signs and marks of wear but not much; mostly on the central wood on the top of the base (see pics). Various patches of woodworm which hasn't affected the structure and has been thoroughly treated all over. The top comes off the base for transport.
