Description
We are delighted to offer this beautiful vintage Japanese solid silver fan/Sensu/O-gi made circa 1960s.
The fan can be displayed on a wooden stand (included) and presents itself with a pronounced contrast of the silver background and the mixed metal highlights of floral blossoms, birds and foliate motifs.
The mixed metal decoration is typical of classic Japanese design and consists of gold and Shakudo copper.
The fan is crafted in its open position and is fixed (cannot be collapsed) with its angles and sections being exceptionally well made in a fine gauge of silver that realistically replicates the delicacy of paper fans.
Silver Japanese pot is for display purposes only and may be purchased separately.
The fan is marked on the stem with a "Jun-Gin" signature - the highest grade of silver with 1000/1000 parts (100% solid silver).
A wonderful object with highly decorative and classic Japanese designs, ideal for interiors and collectors wishing to add Oriental influences.
