Description
This rare novelty perfume holder and ashtray was created in France by Corday in 1952. Named after the address of their offices on the Rue de Paix in Paris and made in the image of the street standard lamps that you see all around the streets of Paris. Contained in the three lamps are the three glass perfume bottles which are no empty and do not have the original labels.
This perfume presentation stands approx. 21 cm in height and the base ashtray is 9 cm in diameter. The metal street lamp has some loss to the painting but this gives it a wonderful, aged appearance with verdigris patination. The ashtray on the base is ceramic and has a design featuring cobblestones. It is marked to the base as shown.
Wonderful collector's piece not to be missed! Thank you for your interest.
