I specialise in affordable original artworks - mainly traditional watercolours and oil paintings but I also have a range of contemporary artworks including limited edition lithographic prints. I also stock a limited selection of antiques and collectables, including treen, ceramics and glass. I have now opened a shop in Wallingford (OX100BU) between Reading and Oxford, but I also trade online. My website, www.artandstuffgallery.com has a gallery section with several mini-galleries where my items are displayed, including more contemporary items not shown on LoveAntiques.

Description
William Tatton Winter RBA (1855-1928) is a listed artist who was born in Lancashire. He was born 'Winterbottom' but painted under the name Winter to avoid confusion with another artist. He later moved to Carshalton, Surrey and then Reigate. He was a prolific artist in watercolour, with some oils and did a series of etchings for The Museum Galleries in the 1920s, of which this is one. Signed by the artist lower right and dated 1927 in the script at the very top. He became a member of Royal Society of British Artists (RBA) in 1896 and exhibited with them extensively and also at Royal Academy and many other institutions.
