Watch : 1940s Rotary Super-sports Mid-size Wrist Watch

The watch has a 15-jewel hand-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is signed with the Rotary wings logo. The watch measures 30mm wide excluding the winding crown and 30mm high excluding the lugs so it is classed as a mid-size piece. The case is stainless steel and it is in good condition. Rotary Watches Ltd was established at La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, by Moise Dreyfuss in 1895. By the 1920s family members Georges and Sylvain Dreyfuss began importing Rotary watches to Britain, which was to become the company's most successful market. The lens is in good condition. The signed dial is in its original finish with original hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers. There is some age related marking to the dial but not too detrimental. A new leather strap has been fitted. The watch comes in a new presentation box. All prices include UK postage (excluding Northern Ireland).
