Watch: Gents 1960s Perona Wristwatch

Perona watches were manufactured in Solothurn in Switzerland between 1964 and 1967 and were imported into the UK by the Sheffield company of A H J Wood & Co. The watch has a Swiss 17-jewel hand-winding movement which is working nicely. The watch measures 35mm wide excluding the winding crown and 35mm high excluding the lugs. The main body of the case is gold plated while the screw-on case back is stainless steel. The case is in good condition just general light surface marks. The case back states that the watch is water resistant but, as with any vintage watch, it should be kept away from water and moisture. The lens is in good condition. The signed dial is in its original finish with original hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers. A new leather strap has been fitted. The watch comes in a new presentation box.
