Watch: Gents 1970s J W Benson Automatic Wristwatch

The watch has a 25-jewel Eta 2788 automatic movement, launched in 1969, which is working nicely. The watch measures 35mm wide excluding the winding crown and 35.5mm high excluding the lugs. The case is gold plated while the case back is stainless steel. The gold plate is in good condition, a little rubbing to the front, more rubbing to the back The lens is in good condition (some reflections showing in the photos). The dial is signed with the name of the original retailer, J W Benson, London, W1. Original hands, centre seconds hand and a day / date display (day set by winding the hands forwards, quick set date at first position). A new leather strap has been fitted.
