Description
This wing chair is soft to the touch - a very comfortable chair to relax in - recently reupholstered in a triple woollen tapestry style material of the highest quality and stuffed with down.
This wing chair has strongly shaped wings and arms, raised upon cabriole legs with a beautifully carved shell motif at the knee, and carved slipper feet. The chair has been covered in a fabulous wool and cotton material called 'English Needlework' - a floral design typical of early 18th century domestic needlework and adapted from a panel at Cotehele. Woven in the UK on a jacquard loom, the fabric type is described as of ‘double-cloth' construction; composition: worsted and natural undyed cotton yarns, and is most comfortable, in fact luxurious in its comfort.
