Wrist Watch Swiss Titus Transistor 1950s 21j Automatic Stainless Steel Case FWO

Gentleman's vintage Swiss Solvil Et Titus 'Transistor' wrist watch with high grade 21 jewel automatic movement in a solid stainless steel case with new 'Bonklip' type stainless steel ladder strap. Looks to have been much loved and very well taken care of - her condition certainly reflects this. Full working order and is an excellent timekeeper with plenty of room on the regulator (which is sat correctly in the central position) for any further fine tuning. Fully checked by my highly experienced watchmaker and is guaranteed to be 100% authentic - a timepiece to grace any collection! Dial;- Impressive and distinctive, high gloss black dial which has beautifully aged over the years to give it a 'planetary' surface patina with lots of tiny silver sparkles. Raised gold large faceted dagger markers with finely cut, original pale rose gold daggers hands and original gold sweep hand all in lovely straight order. Red date wheel which changes over correctly at 12pm.. Original domed crystal (lovely round 'bubble' date view) in clear and bright condition with just a few light and fine little overall surface scratches commensurate with age. Case;- The highly polished and very chunky solid stainless steel case measures 3.3cm diameter (excluding the crown), 4.1cm lug to lug and weighs a heavy 51.9 grams including the strap. Wears big on the wrist. Lovely condition (please excuse the reflections/dark shadows in the pictures, was extremely difficult to photograph) with no indentations or wear and just a few little overall surface scratches (mainly to the back) commensurate with age and use in her 70+ years service. Clearly stamped to the back cover; Solvil Et Titus Geneve (with their acanthus leaf Trade symbol above), 21 Jewels Incabloc Non Magnetic Stainless Steel Swiss Waterproof (not recommended now) and is numbered; 5872. The inside carries the most wonderful 'fishscale' engine turning and is numbered; 14058. Also carries two old service marks. New rubber gasket fitted. Movement;- The high grade 21 jewel Swiss automatic movement is in clean and bright order and as mentioned above has just been checked by my highly experienced watch maker. Clearly stamped on the rotor in arched gold script; Solvil Et Titus Geneve Twenty One 21 Jewels Swiss. Numbered to the bottom plate; 2452. Balance action is tremendous in all positions (could not be any better) and is keeping good time with a sure, strong positive action - starts to run as soon as is picked up and worn. Hand set operates smoothly and correctly - the pull out/push in action is very firm and true. Lovely original crisp un-worn big 'onion' crown. Strap;- Fitted with a new 'Bonklip' style stainless steel 18mm 'ladder' strap which suits the watch very well and is fully and easily adjustable to fit any size (modelled on my 6 1/4" wrist) - just click the clasp in between any of the ladder links to secure. Appraisal;- A Gentleman's very handsome Swiss timepiece - she will make a perfect gift and a heirloom to be enjoyed by your future generations! Ready to wear or display.
