Frederick Mercer R.B.S.A. (1875-1937) – lived in Birmingham and painted in both oil and watercolour, landscapes, coastal scenes, rivers, mills, cottages and occasionally figure and genre subjects. He depicted many scenes in Wales and the Midlands and exhibited regularly at the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists between 1871 and 1911, some 116 works in all. He was elected an Associate of the R.B.S.A. in 1888 and a full Member in 1922. He lived in Birmingham Circa 1881 moving to “Radmoor Wood”, Abbots Bromley, Rugeley, Staffordshire in 1883.
