Porcelain factory inherited by Matvei Sidorovich. The original factory, Brothers Kuznetsov at Novo-Kharitonovo, was founded in 1810. In 1892 M S kuznetsov purchased the the well-established Francis Gardner Porcelain Factory. By the early twentieth century it had taken over many smaller factories and was soon responsible for almost two-thirds of pottery and porcelain output in the Russian Empire. Traded with the East and adapted designs for that market, even writing factory marks and inscriptions in the local language. Produced goods of such fine quality that in 1902 the owner was bestowed the title of court-purveyor. Ater the Revolution, the Gardner/Kuznetsov factory was nationalised and became the Dmitrov Porcelian Plant. The Kuznetsov company included eight different branches. One fo these was the plant at Dulevo (Dulevsky_ which specialised in large scale production within the Russian Empire the the Soviet Union, and the Middle East.
