Masons Ironstone Pottery was produced in Staffordshire from 1806 and survived in one form or another until 2000. The company was started by Miles Mason who had amassed his wealth importing porcelain from the Orient and Masons became a family business for many years. In 1813 the firm acquired the rights to produce Ironstone pottery which was a very strong form of Earthenware. This would become the company’s most successful line exporting solid transferware products. The early Mason’s lines were strongly influenced by the Orient. Today people collect antique and vintage Masons items for their decorative appeal. At LoveAntiques we have a good selection of Masons pottery to suit any needs.
