French Garden Antiques
Getting your garden summer ready need not be a daunting task; you can create a stylish space with little time and minimal effort. Alongside French garden antiques there are a number of rules to adhere to when creating a French feel in your exterior area.
Firstly, a French garden clearly defines different spaces in the garden, so there is a clear area for alfresco dining, and additional areas for other activities, it makes for a graceful transition around the garden.
Secondly, try to incorporate a climbing plant, whether it is against a fence or up against a wall, think honeysuckle, wisteria or climbing roses.
Thirdly, try to blend informal with formal features, when it comes to plants try to stick to geometry in the design, but the garden accessories needn’t match, this is the beauty of the French design. For example borders may be strictly planned and measured but then look perfect with overgrown wild flowers, think of a Monet landscape with colours exploding across the landscape.
Think wrought iron, limestone features and pretty, vintage items, there is a great number of French garden antiques on the market to choose from, so it is possible to suit all your needs. The French are effortlessly chic and these items will help transform your outdoor space into a romantic, tranquil space to enjoy of a summers day and evening.
