Dealer of The Month - Steppes Hill Farm Antiques

Having been members of The British Antique Dealers’ Association (BADA) since 1976, Steppes Hill Farm Antiques are experienced Antique Silver Dealers with a great reputation for supplying top quality Antique Silver.

Currently managed by David Buck and his wife Carol, this family run business was founded some fifty years or so ago by David's Father, William (Billy) Buck. It was Billy's passion for English Antique Porcelain that brought him in to the Antiques Trade and along with this, he also sold small Silver collectables. But it was only after David, Billy's eldest son, took on jobs working in London for 2 different Silver Dealers, then eventually came to work for his father, that the company expanded their silver stock.   

David settled into the business with ease and was responsible for recognising the need to move with the times and expand the business into the sea of ever-growing on-line shops. He was instrumental in propelling Steppes Hill Farm Antiques into the modern world of online shopping, launching their first website in early 2008, where they were then able to showcase their finest stock to a global audience. Steppes Hill Farm Aniques primarily specialise in smaller collectable pieces of Antique Silver such as vesta cases, wine lables, scent bottles and card cases to name but a few things, as well as Hollow-ware, Flatware, Irish & Scottish Silver.

Over the past 40 years, David and Carol have built up strong customer relations and have even developed long-term friendly relationships with many of their clients; this is undoubtedly down to not only their helpful and friendly services and of course the superb stock they offer for sale, but also their professional services and their knowledge of the products they sell. They regard their 'Academic approach as all important' and it's this approach that ensures that their customers return to them and thus recommend them far and wide.
