Dealer of The Month - Llewelyn & Company

A lifetime of love for ceramics, pretty linens and all things charming and character-filled is what led to the establishment of Antique & Vintage traders, Llewelyn & Company - Decorative Living, and as our Dealers of The Month, we would like to tell you a little bit about them and how they came to be.

We've had the pleasure of visiting Llewelyn And Company's premises in the picturesque historical market town of Hay on Wye, in Wales, and looking around their shop set over 2 floors, it's easy to see that husband and wife team, John & Anna have a real passion for Antiques as well as Vintage stock and other collectables. The items they have for sale range from large pieces of antique furniture and mirrors to smaller more collectable objects such as ceramic jugs and glass pots. The also have a number of collectable toys both old and new and clothing too for their younger customers, so there is something for everyone.

It was spending her childhood growing up around her Grandmothers tradition Welsh Georgian Farmhouse that started Anna's appreciation for all things old, pretty and collectable. She recounts admiring fluted floral tea cups, rustic farmhouse tables, well worn chairs, a pantry piled high with enamelled pitchers, dishes and Kilner jars and beautifully folded embroidered linen to name but a few things. And in later life after meeting John and starting a family, their love for Antiques grew as they discovered hidden treasures on their family holidays and explorations around Europe in their caravan. And so after years of collecting, a vision of starting their very own business became a reality and 'Llewelyn & Company' was born. Every item on display in their delightful shop has been hand picked and selected by John & Anna, giving their customers a personable shopping experience and a taste of what John & Anna truly love.

They clearly love what they do and state that what they enjoy most about their trade i seeing the enjoyment on their customers faces as they enter their shop.
