Description
This is an unusual 19th Century antique brass perfume/scent casket. The finely embossed and chased exterior includes a large cameo-carved mother-of-pearl inset to the lid. The inside is fitted with two cranberry glass scent bottles with gilt metal fittings, each topped with a well-carved shell cameo insert of a landscape with buildings in the background. The interior of the casket is lined with pink silk and braid.

The silk lining and braid of the interior is worn.
