Shoreline to the right flank further back. Signed in the bottom corner by the artist Arthur Cox. In our opinion this is one of his finest works. Artist biography Arthur Cox is an artist born in the early Victorian era around 1840 and he died in 1917. He travelled around the British isles and loved painting marine subjects, he was an American marine artist. The artist's works have sold at auctions around the world many times. The word Garwick Bay comes from the Celtic word for 'pleasant bay', the beach area really does live up to its name. It has clear waters also green trees that overhanging the beach, the sheltered cove has a tropical atmosphere feel to it and is an amazing place to enjoy peace & quiet & admire the fabulous view.
