A Pair of Bookends Made in the Form of Antique Leather Bound Books

A most pleasing pair of desk book ends hand made in wood and leather and beautifully crafted. Each bookend looks like three antique leather bound books. These highly decorative pieces would have been made to special order by a traditional bookbinder. They are made from wood in the form of antique books and covered in different coloured tan hides and each one is then hand finished with heated bronze patterned wheels and hand tools to produce the book design and title in plain and gilt tooling. These decorative bookends are English and date to circa 1920. They would be ideal for a desktop or shelf display and would look perfect with a small collection of antique books resting between them.
