Description
A fine and impressive antique 0.25ct diamond and 0.01 carat ruby, 12ct yellow gold and silver set, 15 carat yellow gold pin brooch; part of our diverse Edwardian jewellery collections.
This fine and impressive antique diamond brooch has been crafted in 15ct yellow gold with a 12ct yellow gold and silver setting, modelled in the form of a jockey riding a horse.
The jockey is ornamented with impressive hot enamel decoration, replicating the black, red and white silks, in addition to black boots and red cap.
The anterior surface of the three-dimensional horse is embellished with twenty-two pavé set diamonds, in a combination of Old European, eight and mine cuts, totalling 0.25ct.
The body of the horse is further accented with yellow gold designs replicating the reins and bridal.
The horse's eye is represented by a pavé set 0.01ct round faceted cut ruby.
The 15ct yellow gold pin features a subtle turned decoration to hold the brooch more securely.
This impressive Edwardian horse and jockey pin brooch has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton Xl2 Analyzer) and verified as 15 carat gold and silver.
This impressive pin brooch is supplied with an Idgl diamond and gemstone grading report card.
