Antique Chinese Quin Dynasty Porcelain Box

This delightful box is beautifully handpainted with the traditional Famille Rose design, and decorated with lotus flowers and a bird sitting amongst. The background design is in gold and white painted geometric design, with a blue border similar to a Greek Key Pattern. Free from any chips or losses, the box is in wonderful condition, with a close-fitting lid and excellent hinge. The front catch works well. The inside and underneath of the box are both white. This could be used for trinkets, jewellery or documents. The box is unmarked but verified as the late Quin period 1890-1910. Great work for a handpainted item.
