Impressive Silver Victorian Vesta Case

This excellent Victorian period silver vesta case comes by way of maker Mathew John Jessop of London and is dated 1899, in good decorative condition. Presented with an attractive engine turned design to both front and back case with central round empty cartouche to the front, the inner chambers have been gilt washed and are very clean with a good tight fitting lid but no snap, hallmarks to the usual place and another set to the inner lid. Measurements are approx. 4.2 cm in height and 3.1 cm in width, weighing a good 19 gm of silver. Excellent and attractive vesta from this little seen maker!
