Antique Early Treen 18th Century Fruitwood Trick Opening Snuff Box - English 1770-1790

A very good example of an early fruitwood 18th Century (1770-1790) ''trick'' opening snuff box...the central part of the box, which is a darker colour pushes out to reveal a small lidded round snuff box, which is in good used condition, with only a minor chip out of the rim, which cannot be seen when the snuff box is hidden amongst the larger box.... all part of its life and doesn''t detract from this unusual collectable box.... very good colour, that you find with ''aged'' fruitwood.
