Description
Exceptional, fine and impressive, set of three antique George III English sterling silver decanter / wine bottle labels; part of our wine related Georgian silverware collection.
These exceptional George III sterling silver wine labels have a rectangular shaped form.
Each bottle label is embellished with exceptional gadroon ornamentation to the rim, incorporating four scrolling leaf designs.
This decoration incorporates a central rectangular cartouche, each engraved with the desirable inscriptions: 'Madeira', 'Claret', and 'Sauterne'.
This elucidating decoration is surmounted with a contemporary engraved crest depicting out of a Ducal coronet five ostrich plumes and a demi-eagle with wings extended.
These antique silver bottle labels are suspended by two ring loops to the upper portion and connected by silver round link chains.
These exceptional silver wine bottle labels are superior examples of their type.

These antique sterling silver wine bottle labels are an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. The engraved decoration is very sharp.
Full British hallmarks struck to the reverse of each piece are all very clear; the hallmarks are struck deeply due to the exceptional gauge of silver.
