This exceptional antique Georgian cast sterling silver mustard pot has a compressed circular form. The lower portion of the body is embellished with impressive convex fluted decoration. The upper portion of this fine example of Georgian silverware is ornamented with an impressive leaf decorated protruding border. This mustard pot is fitted with a domed hinged hallmarked cover ornamented with corresponding fluted decoration in a subtle swirl design and surmounted with an impressive cast and applied bud style finial. This exceptional example of antique silverware features an impressive cast silver figural handle, in addition to a leaf decorated thumbpiece to the upper portion of the cover's hinge. The mustard pot opens to reveal the original gilded interior. This exceptional antique Georgian silver mustard pot is supported by a circular pedestal foot ornamented with further fluted decoration, reflecting that to the cover. This exceptional mustard pot is supplied with an associate antique Newcastle sterling silver fiddle pattern spoon, crafted by John Walton.
