English, circa 1820-50.
Attributed to Henry Alken (British, 1785-1851). Name on plaque on frame.
Oil on panel. Elaborate gilt gesso frame.
Depicts a farmyard scene with figures, horse and pig.
Size of frame: 15 x 13 inches.
Size of panel: 11 x 9 inches;
Size of front painting aperture: 11.75 x 9.75 inches.
Weight: 1.8 kg (allow 5 kg volumetric weight once packed).

Anthea's Attic has clarified that the Antique Georgian Landscape Oil Painting Study of Figures, Horse and Pig Attributed to H Alken (1 of 2) (LA503094) is genuinely of the period declared with the date/period of manufacture being 1820-50
condition
Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches, craquelure and some knocks to and pieces missing from gesso frame but all part of its charm and character. In original frame, although this has had some restoration to remount it in its original gilt frame.
Priced accordingly.
