condition
condition
This antique sterling silver serving platter is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional, original condition.
There are some surface knife scratches to the well of the platter, in keeping with the age and purpose; if required these could be sympathetically reduced by a silversmith upon request.
The bright cut engraved decoration is crisp and the applied decoration is very sharp.
Full hallmarks struck to the underside of the platter are all very clear; the hallmarks are struck deeply due to the exceptional gauge of silver.
Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this example of antique silverware.
