The medial point of the unusual shaped body is encompassed with a broad convex stylised bead and spindle style border.
The upper portion of the caddy is encompassed with an applied scrolling border paralleling the rim with a pensile drop to each panel incurve.
This Victorian silver tea caddy retains the original hallmarked domed panelled hinged cover, reflecting the bright cut engraved decoration to the body's panels.

condition
condition
This Victorian silver tea caddy is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition, for its type. The bright cut engraved decoration is very crisp.
Full hallmarks struck to the underside of the caddy and part hallmarks to the interior of the cover are all very clear; the hallmarks are struck deeply due to the exceptional gauge of silver.
Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this example of antique silverware.
