Art Deco Beautibox Enamel Powder Compact c.1930

This 1930s Beautibox powder compact measures 7 cm in width and height and is octagonal in shape. The compact is made of gold tone metal with glossy coral cold painted enamel surfaces and the lid has gold tone metal lines. At the top of the case is a bale with coral silk cord and tassel. The compact has firm hinge and secure catch and opens to reveal a gold tone interior. Under the lid is a clear and reflective, framed convex mirror. The open powder well in the base is empty and is marked at the centre Beautibox. This Art Deco powder compact is offered in very good condition with no damage to the lovely enamelled surfaces, no chips, cracks or scratches.
