Description
A particularly attractive Arts & Crafts library chair of marvellous design - we have a pair. We have a number stamp to the chairs but no maker's mark, however these are very nice and with just the right amount of wear making them easy to slip into a period or modern setting. A little different from the norm. With a gentle sweep to the arms, lovely colouring, three shaped back rails which are rather nice, double stretchers a bonus and the shaped back not only rather pleasing to look at but also giving a little extra support. As mentioned condition wise they are great, we have wear to the oak frame in the right places with original colour and finish. Both chairs have a drop in seat in original deep red grained Rexine with wear but offering support - we could upholster these for £60 plus Vat each if you require, plus fabric. Expect genuine aging and a fine looking Arts & Crafts chair. The price is for one delivered, not both of the chairs. Billy Hunt has successfully focused on British furniture and lighting since 2014 and always has an interesting ever changing selection of carefully chosen pieces from the early 1800s to late 1970s. Our base is a large Victorian 2 storey red brick barn on a wonderful traditionally run country estate in Staffordshire. We are able to offer a first class upholstery service and also assistance in interior design if requested. Our extensive client base covers: the celebrated interior designers, film companies and ladies and gentlemen like us who enjoy our professional, friendly and knowledgeable approach.
