An artisans' masterpiece signature table... You can only start by standing back and admiring the quality workmanship creating this table, as the incredible detail flows. Conveniently round with a nice go anywhere footprint, this 19th century carved tripod table has beautifully carved legs with agapanthus leaves rising up to an intricately carved walnut column with another burr walnut section. This is topped off with a carved border edge detail, a delightful walnut marquetry inlay depicting a Roman Centurion on horseback slaying a lion with a floral border. Quite incredible the level of detail that has been bestowed upon this piece. So rare to see this level of work on a humble table. A real investment and a great conversational piece of furniture.
