Early 19th Century Georgian Baroque Gilt Flared Frame with Later Mirror

Early 19th Century Baroque style, gilt flared frame with later mirror. This old picture frame is adorned by scroll, shells, and flower head details. Gilt plaster moulded to the wooden frame. Now with later bevelled edge mirror and modern border. The reverse of the frame has hanging loops to hang in the landscape position, though the frame could be hung in the portrait position. Now overpainted, with some losses to the plaster moulding and gilt details, this still remains a very charming frame and oozes character. Ideal frame to reframe an old or even modern picture, to refit with a new or old mirror, or even give a funky twist to a blackboard.
