Finely fretted scrolled and engraved silk lined sound frets to the case sides and above the brass bound shaped front door, beneath a stepped moulded and brass base with brass bun feet.
The original locks and keys to the front and rear opening doors.
The shallow arched brass dial with a finely executed matted dial centre, signed John Bull & Co Bedford on the silvered and engraved Roman chapter ring.
All within finely cast, gilt brass, spandrels, with further silvered subsidiary dials for chime on 8 bells or 4 gongs in the arch and a second subsidiary dial for a regulation rise and fall mechanism, with an additional selection switch for chime / chime silent located at the 12 o’clock position.
