Description
A pretty early Worcester porcelain blue and white porcelain butter boat, painted in the "formal rose" pattern, c.1760-1765. Moulded overlapping leaves form the outside of the bowl and base, blue crescent mark to base. Shaped rim with small looped handle.
Refence: "Worcester Blue & White Porcelain 1751-1790" by Branyan, French & Sandon, section I.E.38A and classed as rare.
