Description
Elegantly simple George III (c.1800) mahogany demi-lune tea table. Solid figured mahogany one-piece fold-over top with narrow kingwood crossband border. Table-top edges with mahogany crossbands and box lines above an apron with figured mahogany panels framed with further box lines. Square tapered legs with box stringing terminating in brass square cup casters. Rear legs open on rule joints to support the opened top. Hinged top opens to reveal a figured mahogany surface with narrow kingwood crossband and box-line border. Leg tops and gates with baize pads to protect the opened top. Aged to a gorgeous mellow colour. Sympathetically restored to a high standard and retaining its original finish.

The table is 76cm in height, its top when folded measuring 91cm in width and 45.5cm depth (91cm diameter when opened).
