Description
This is a large 19th Century English antique oil painting on canvas of coastal seascape marinescape of Hull 1868 attributed to Henry Redmore. It comes in a elaborate gilt gesso frame. Actual painting is unsigned but attributed to Henry Redmore (1820-1887). (Auction records for this artist are in the region of £26,000). Some provenance on reverse - said to be off Hull dated 1868.

Size of frame: 31.5 x 24 inches; Size of canvas: 24 x 16 inches; Size of front painting aperture: 22.75 x 15 inches. Weight: 2.75 kg (allow up to 15 kg volumetric weight once packed).

condition
Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches and some knocks to and pieces missing from gesso frame. Priced accordingly. This item is obviously delicate and the gesso frame fragile. Therefore, whilst every care will be taken to pack this item extremely well, I cannot guarantee that some pieces of plaster will not become fragmented and dislodged. Please understand this before committing to buy and it will need to be understood that the buyer accepts this risk if having the item delivered by courier. No refunds will be available for this reason nor can the item be returned.
