This is a large 18th Century English antique river landscape oil painting on canvas with cattle attributed to M Hobbema. The painting is unsigned but the artist's name is on the frame - After M Hobbema (1638-1709). It comes in a gilt gesso frame. Depicts a a river landscape with cattle in foreground, cottage and figures in background - a bucolic scene. At auction, the record for a painting by Meindert Hobbema is £5.9 million (approx Us$ 7.78 million).

Condition commensurate with age - various superficial marks & scratches, craquelure, some damage to canvas with one repair to reverse and some knocks to gesso frame but all part of its charm and character. Priced accordingly.
