This marquetry bombe commode was made circa 1920. The walnut is inlaid with fine marquetry to the front top and sides, the marquetry of elaborate patterns of delicate foliate sprays. It is fitted 3 drawers that open to reveal large storage space. Having fine moulded cabriole legs to the front and rear.
Commodes make wonderful statement pieces in many areas of your home, and you can’t help but admire the style and workmanship they give. Imagine the pleasure this marquetry bombe commode will give you and pride as you show it to your family and friends.
On occasions customers have been disappointed to miss an item as they e-mailed their enquiry instead of phoning, I would recommend that if you wish to get the piece, please call rather than e-mail. We are very friendly and easy to deal with.
Green Product:-
Antiques are very environmentally friendly items; they are the ultimate green recycled product. They have been used for generations, and will go forward for more generations, sparing the worlds resources. Unlike mass-produced modern items using scarce resources, cutting down acres of forests before being shipped for 3000 miles, used for a few years then discarded, before another load is shipped again 3000 miles.
We spend time choosing the best product, an antique item that must meet the strict criteria to be placed in Hingstons of Wilton stock.
